Services: provides home-like residential care for mentally retarded, developmentally disabled persons, along with comprehensive services.

Eligibility: At least 18 years old, significantly mentally retarded/ developmentally disabled and must be established that they could benefit from placement.

Fee: most are covered by Medicaid/Medical Assistance, sliding scale for private pay

 

Center for Accessible Living

Services: Information and referral services, independent living skills training, legal rights, housing, attendant care, ramps and home modifications, technical assistance and counseling.

Eligibility: Income eligibility for attendant care and ramp builders program.

Cerebral Palsy K.I.D.S. Center

Services: Multidisciplinary approach to infant and early childhood development for children at risk of developmental delays.

Eligibility: Any child from birth to 6 years of age who is developmentally delayed due to any type of neurological dysfunction. Contact Intake.

Services: Horseback riding lessons for persons with disabilities.  Vocational training for schools.

Eligibility: Persons with disabilities ages 6-60.  Must have physician consent form.

Fee: $12/Lesson, $3 per person for field trips. Scholarships available.

 

Louisville Deaf Oral School

Services: Educational intervention for the hearing impaired child.  Provides audio logical counseling, speech and language therapy, counseling for parents, preschool program and parent infant program.

Eligibility: Any child with a hearing loss that requires amplification.

Fee: Tuition based on sliding scale
